Frequently Asked Questions
How can I find out the SAR of my cell phone?
The FCC maintains a SAR database, and to start checking on your device you'll need its FCC ID number. It's usually on the case of the cell phone, although you might have to remove its battery pack to find the number. Once you have the number, you can go to the FCC web site and follow the instructions.
Most manufacturers also include the information in their product manuals as well as on their Web sites. Other sites also provide access to the SAR levels of cell phones, including CNET (updated weekly).
Does the Pong Technology degrade/interfere with my cell reception?
Depending on the frequency, Pong may slightly increase or decrease your phone's signal strength. But in either event, the change should not be noticeable to you.
What is the Pong Technology inside the case built from?
The micro thin element is made from copper that is configured individually for each mobile device.
When was Pong Technology developed?
The Pong technology was developed ten years ago, but due to the form factors of devices could not be marketed. Now the flat devices form factor has created an opportunity for the Pong technology to help you protect yourself from cell phone radiation.
Is the Pong Technology heat sensitive?
The case will withstand heat to a certain degree. However, we do not recommend leaving it out in direct sunlight or in heat over an extended period of time.
If I drop my phone will the Pong Case protect it? Do you guarantee my phone won't be damaged?
The Pong case is designed to protect covered areas of your phone by absorbing most of the impact from a drop. By design, the Pong case might crack or split before the covered areas of your phone are damaged. Pong cannot guarantee, however, that your phone will not be damaged as a result of impact, accident, or excessive wear and tear since we cannot insure the work of other manufacturers.
Will the Pong Case work with docking stations?
For your convenience, the Pong case is designed to work with most docking stations.
Is the front glass protected so that if the phone is laid on a flat surface, only the case would touch, not the glass of the phone?
The case is designed so that-if you lay your phone on a flat surface-the edges of the case will keep the front glass of the phone from touching it. The glass is thus protected.
Does the Pong Case have a cutout to accommodate most headphone jacks?
As a featured design, your Pong case permits easy access to all controls and ports, as well as to the headphone jack area. We have increased the headphone jack area to accommodate larger headphone plugs, as well.
Does Pong warranty the functioning of the antenna embedded in the case?
Pong warranties the troubleshooting of the
antenna if the antenna embedded in the case does not work properly.
